The Compass is a food bank and outreach center that serves South Mississauga. We provide a safe and welcoming place for people to come to for help. We offer immediate assistance with food, then work with clients offering practical and spiritual support to the challenges that often come along with a low income. Last year we provided food and services to 1,950 people (including 569 children and 169 seniors). More than 440,000 pounds of food was distributed in 2018. We do this with only two part-time staff and over 330 volunteers. With the help of financial donations, we are able to purchase a wide variety of fresh & healthy food to add to our food bank.
